Been a while...

Rebel and I have been doing well.  Sorry we haven't asked to get on Mommy's computer to write to you in a very long time, but I still wont walk on the laminate flooring so I don't get to even see the computer much.
There is so much to catch you up on.  As I mentioned I still wont walk on the floor so I spend my time inside in the master bedroom.  I also still take my hormone pill once a week.  Rebel had surgery on his eye.  He healed up well though!  He loves his time on the couch since he does walk on the laminate floor.

Puppy Love

Snow!

I am so happy to see the snow come!  I love the snow so much, even if Mommy and Suzy don't!  I hope that Winter is here to stay... I know that Mommy is going to get me for saying that too.  I love to stay outside and enjoy the snow and cold!  I have been trying to stay outside instead of going in when I should even as I am just enjoying it so much! 

I am one very happy "snow dog"!!

Chill In The Air

There is a chill in the air and we are loving it!!  When the weather starts to turn cool again we really enjoy it.  We don't want to come inside hardly at all when the weather is like this.  We are so happy that there is a touch of Fall in the air!

Grandma & Grandpa are here!

The Florida grandparents got here!!  We have been getting extra pets and love since they got here.  I am especially loving it because Suzy doesn't get up on the floor still so I get all the attention in the living room!!

Too Cold!

It is so cold here that even us Snow Dogs are begging for more inside time! We go outside and as soon as we are done with our business we are begging to be let back inside!! Who would of thought it would get so cold that even we would be cold!

Backyard of SNOW

Today Rebel and I wanted to show you what our snowy backyard looks like. It is so cold here that even us snow dogs don't want to stay outside very long!! It has been snowing and snowing and snowing some more lately. I guess winter has come to stay in our little corner of the world.

The Floor of Doom!

This is as far up onto the new floor as I will go. It is the floor of doom!! Rebel doesn't mind the new floor at all though. He really is enjoying his Mommy and Daddy time without me while they are in the living room. He even gets up on the couch with them and gets all kinds of love and attention!! Oh that pesky brother! I wish I could conquer my fear and walk on the floor already but I just can't seem to do it!

We are still alive!

This summer was crazy for everyone! Mommy was super busy with work and didn't have a lot of time to let us use her computer. Now we should have more time though because Mommy is going to be at home a lot more now. She doesn't have a job anymore but told us not to worry because her and Daddy went hunting and got us plenty of antelope to eat!

Close Encounter of the Skunk Kind!

The other night we had a visitor! A black and white striped visitor that didn't smell very good at all! Mommy called it a skunk. We were outside just hanging out for a little bit before bedtime while Mommy and Daddy watched some TV. All of a sudden the back door flies open and Daddy is yelling for us to get inside - so we did. Mommy hurried up and checked us and said that the scent wasn't too bad on us which meant we didn't get a direct spraying but instead were just wafted with it. So she spritzed us down with vinegar and didn't have to rush to give us yucky baths!!

A few days later a box showed up in the alley side of our fence. In the early morning hours after Mommy and Daddy left for work a cat got into that box. Mommy said that the box was a trap that the city had put out for the skunks and not for cats. Anyhow me and Rebel went crazy about that cat being in that box just on the other side of our wooden fence. We scratched and clawed and barked and went nuts trying to get to see that cat that we could hear over the fence. Grandpa got up and came over to see what all the fuss was about and found that we had broken the fence enough to get both of us stuck trying to get out at the same time. So he pushed us back into the yard and then let the cat out of the box. Then Grandpa had to repair the fence since Mommy and Daddy were both gone at work. Needless to say Grandpa was not happy with us and we didn't get our daily treats. When Mommy came home she had more work to do on the fence and she wan't very happy with us either.

So the skunk is still on the lose but so far we haven't been sprayed yet this year!

We're Back!

Mommy is finally starting to get some time to breathe again so she let us use her computer to let you all know what is going on with us so far this summer!

I had a set back with my health problems too - I guess I take after Mommy - but I am feeling better and getting back to being me again! I had the colitis when Mommy and Daddy first got back from Florida and then when I was getting over that I started to have problems accepting the new laminate floors in the house. I freaked out once and really hurt myself and then I wouldn't walk on that floor at all for a long time! Mommy had to give me anti-stress medicine and prednisone for quite a while. I am feeling great again now though and will walk on that floor now too. I still slip and slide sometimes but I just can't help it I get too excited and forget to walk carefully!! Mommy and Daddy say that they are really happy to have me back to being me though :)

Rebel is well Rebel and of course he doesn't mind that floor at all! He has really been enjoying the summer weather and Mommy and Daddy have to force him to come in and have family time!

Rebel and I really had a good time with our Florida Grandpa when he was up here visiting. I really missed him when he first left because he always gave us extra ear and belly scratches!

Well I better let Mommy have her computer back!! I will bark at you all again soon I hope!

Another Bout of Sickness & Company

Hi everyone!

Sorry it has been so long since we posted. Mommy & Daddy have been very busy with company at the house so we haven't been able to get on the computer to talk to you all.

Suzy had another bout of sickness and is on 3 kinds of medicine right now, but she finally seems to be doing better. She still wont walk on the laminate floor so Mommy has a carpet runner from the back door to the bedroom door where it is carpeted and has been feeding her and everything in there! I don't mind the new floor at all!! I think that it is fun to go slipping and sliding all over the place! I hope that Suzy gets over her fear of the floor soon though because I miss eating with her.

We both have been enjoying extra belly rubs and love from our Florida Grandpa though! We really love when he comes to see us!

Well Mommy said to tell you all goodbye because it is her turn to use her computer!!

Slowly but Surely

I think that I am starting to feel a little bit better. Mommy is still trying to get me to eat a little bit every few hours and sometimes I cooperate and eat and sometimes I just turn up my nose. I am getting special prescription canned dog food, yogurt, meat baby food, and our regular rice and wild game food. Mommy just tries to tempt me into eating a few bites each time.

Last night I felt well enough to roll over and give up my belly for belly rubs, but then this morning I am was feeling weak again.

Rebel is being a good big brother though and gets between me and anyone outside so that they can't jostle me in case my belly is hurting or I am too weak to feel safe.

I think that I am getting better. Mommy said that I will have good days and bad days still with the colitis and that I need to eat small amounts all through the day. I still am having headaches some and acting off a little too. Mommy said that something could have happened to me when I was with the vet techs last week getting my x-rays because of how rough they were with me and how stressed out I was. She said if I don't start getting over the things that started after that she is going to call the vet again. I so do not want to go to the vet again! That place scares me!!

Thank you all for the well wishes, thoughts, and prayers! I think that they are helping me to get better.

She Must Be Feeling a Little Better

Hi everyone!

It is me Rebel chatting with you today! Suzy must be feeling a little better because I was allowed to come into the house again for longer than just to eat. She also has been chasing me around a little bit out in the yard! Not too much chasing mind you but I think that will come as she builds back up her strength as she continues to get better.

Actually I didn't mind not sleeping in the house the last few nights while she was really sick. I love to be outside especially when the weather is nice. I loved getting to sleep outside every night while Mommy and Daddy were away on vacation.

I'm Still Sick

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the well wishes on the last post! I am still sick but I am starting to feel a little better I think. This colitis is nasty stuff! I am still hurting in my tummy and it is making me moody. Mommy and Daddy say that being sick is no excuse to be mean to Rebel but I think that they don't know him like I do!

Mommy had to take me back to the vet again yesterday and it was very stressful for me. I hurt my eye I was so stressed out. It is a little better today and it doesn't hurt me - it just looks terrible!

I'm Sick

Hi everyone,

Mommy and Daddy are back from there vacation. They seem to have had a good time. Me and Rebel missed them while they were gone though :(

I am sick now though and they had to take me to the mean Vet yesterday. He says I have colitis and have to eat special food for a few days and take pills too. I don't feel good at all and have been being very mean to Rebel because of it. I have been so snappy with him that he doesn't want to spend any time in the house with me at all. Mommy made me up a special bed and I get to spend today in the office with her. She can get some work done that way while I am sleeping.

Anyhow, I am tired again so that is all for now...

Something Is Up...

Sorry that we haven't posted in a while!!

Mommy hasn't been feeling very well and we have been spending extra time taking care of her!! Plus we have been very busy snoopervising...

We did want to let you all know about 2 things we have noticed going on around here lately...

1. Somebody has messed up our floors!! Instead of all the nice cushy carpet all in the living room and dining room there is a great big piece of carpet missing!! There is a little space that is just sub floor and most of the dining room is now the stuff Mommy calls laminate flooring... Rebel doesn't mind the changes at all, but I hate it!! I wont even step on the laminate stuff at all! That means I can't even go get a drink in the kitchen now :( Mommy and Daddy keep telling me that I will have to get used to it because soon all the carpet is going to be gone and it will all be the laminate flooring. I really am not happy about this at all!!
2. Something is up with Mommy and Daddy!! The big boxes - Mommy calls them suitcases - are out and Mommy has been putting her clothes in one and Daddy's clothes in another one. I think that means that they are going somewhere because Daddy keeps telling us that we will have to be good for Grandpa while they are gone! Mommy said that they are going to see her Mommy and Daddy in Florida where Rebel used to live!! I really want to go too because I have never been to Florida and Rebel has been there already. So, I think that they should take me along too! And if they wont take me then I think that they should bring me back a BIG surprise!!
   

Mommy said to tell you all that we wont be posting while they are gone because Grandpa wont let us use the computer here like she does...

Marley & Me

Mommy, Daddy, Rebel and I watched Marley & Me the movie not too long ago. Boy is that a good movie!!

If you haven't seen it you really need to!!

It makes you laugh and it makes you cry and it makes you realize just how special the time you have together really is!

Mommy also told us both not to get any ideas of how not to act from watching the movie!! Hee hee!!

The Big Ticket

Hi everyone! It is me Rebel coming at you large and in charge today!

I gave Mommy my best aren't I handsome look for this picture. You can see that I too am starting to blow my coat but that doesn't bother me at all. I know that I am still the handsome boy no matter what my coat might be doing!

Daddy said that I should title this "The Big Ticket" because if he had been around when Mommy got me that is what he would have wanted to name me! LOL I think that Daddy is silly because my name is Rebel. I know that my full name is Rebel Jedi Knight too. Mommy and Daddy call me lots of other names besides just Rebel too like Reb, Rebinski, Boo, Boo Bear, Booska, Booska Bearska, Fat Boy, Big Gallou, Oompa Loompa, and Daddy tries to call me Big Ticket. I answer to them all pretty much except Big Ticket!

Rebel & Suzy Read!

We read a new book!! The name of the book is "The Daily Coyote" and it is written by Shreve Stockton. The book was so wonderful! This book is about the lady raising a coyote baby named Charlie and it is set here in Wyoming. It has amazing pictures which we just stared and stared at for a long time each. We think that Charlie looks a lot like a husky but with bigger ears and longer legs. "The Daily Coyote" even has its own blog! You can go see it here if you want and you should want to since it has tons more pictures!
